Short, practical, step by step.

Quick start

Install AsicIQ on a Windows PC that is on the same network as your miners and stays on.

  1. Open AsicIQ. It suggests your network range (for example 192.168.1.0/24); press Scan network.
  2. Check the Miners tab: every miner, its hashrate, temperature and pool.
  3. Open Issues: anything that needs you is listed, the most serious first.
  4. Open Security and set your own password on miners that still use the factory one.
  5. In Settings, add your worker prefix and your pool accounts, so AsicIQ knows which pools are yours.
  6. Link WhatsApp (during early access we do this with you) and send a test alert.
Automatic actions (reboot, heat guard, expensive hours, pool restore) stay off until you turn them on.

If a miner is hijacked

AsicIQ alerts at once when a miner's pool, account or DNS is not yours. If auto-restore is on, it has already put your pools back.

  1. Change the password on every miner (Security tab → set the farm password).
  2. Find the PC the miner's DNS points to: that is usually the infected machine. Disconnect it from the network.
  3. Scan that PC for malware, or reinstall it.
  4. Set the miners back to DHCP so they use your router again.
  5. Watch the Issues tab for a day: a hijack that comes back means the source is still on the network.
Turn on auto-restore in Settings so AsicIQ puts your pools back by itself (at most 3 times a day per miner).

Heat guard and expensive hours

In Settings, turn on the heat guard and choose three temperatures: low power from, sleep from, and back to work at. The defaults are 85°C, 92°C and 75°C.

  • A miner at the first limit for two readings moves to low power.
  • Still hot 10 minutes later, or at the second limit, it goes to sleep.
  • Once it is at the third limit for two readings and 30 minutes have passed, it goes back to work.
  • Every change is a WhatsApp message and a line in the action log.

Expensive hours: enter the hours (for example 17-21) and choose low power or sleep. Every miner changes at the start and goes back at the end. A mode you set by hand is never undone.

Reading the Profit tab

Enter your electricity price per kWh and your pool's fee. Revenue per TH/s comes from the Bitcoin network, or type the number your pool shows.

  • Factory-firmware Antminers do not report their power: set watts per TH (about 19 for an S19 XP Hyd.) and AsicIQ estimates it, marked with ~.
  • Break-even power price: above this electricity price the farm loses money at today's revenue.
  • Numbers are estimates for Bitcoin; real payouts move with pool luck, fees and the price.
